Samurai Jack was an American animated cartoon series created by Genndy Tartakovski (after his departure from Dexter's Labooratory in 2000). Starting in 2001, it ran for 4 seasons and ended in 2004. Plans for a Samurai Jack movie have been rumored, but Genndy claims it may or may not happen due to production problems. On December 9th, Toonami, Adult Swim's (formerly Cartoon Network's) late-night weekend anime block announced the show's comeback in reruns on Toonami in 2014 after the run of Fooly Cooly. It was speculated that the move to Toonami would remove the show from Boomerang; however, the show continues to run on Boomerang as of 2/8/14.
